Product Description

Renocel 10000 IU Injection is a synthetic form of the naturally occurring hormone Erythropoietin, known as Epoetin Alfa. It stimulates the bone marrow to produce red blood cells, thereby increasing hemoglobin levels and improving oxygen delivery throughout the body.

Indications

Renocel 10000 IU Injection is prescribed for:
1.Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD): To treat anemia associated with CKD in adults and children undergoing dialysis.
2.Cancer Chemotherapy: To manage anemia caused by chemotherapy in patients with non-myeloid malignancies.
3.HIV Treatment: To address anemia resulting from zidovudine therapy in HIV-infected individuals.
4.Surgical Procedures: To reduce the need for blood transfusions in patients undergoing major surgeries.

Mechanism of Action

Renocel 10000 IU Injection mimics the action of natural erythropoietin by binding to erythropoietin receptors on red blood cell precursors in the bone marrow. This binding stimulates the proliferation and differentiation of these precursors into mature red blood cells, thereby increasing red blood cell count and improving oxygen delivery to tissues.

Dosage and Administration

1.Route of Administration: Subcutaneous (SC) or intravenous (IV) injection.
2.Frequency: Typically administered 1 to 3 times per week, depending on the patient’s condition and response to treatment.
3.Dosage Adjustment: Dosage is individualized based on hemoglobin levels and clinical response.

2.Nausea and vomiting
3.Fatigue
